În crestomație sunt incluse fragmente din câteva creații orchestrale reprezentative pentru școala componistică din România și Republica Moldova. Fiecare din ele este precedată de o scurtă notă cu informații despre compozitor și piesa respectivă.The methodical work Orchestral excerpts from the repertoire of the Academy of Music, Theater and Fine Arts Symphony Orchestra (Music of Composers from Moldova and Romania) is a chrestomathy aimed at the bachelor and master degree students majoring in Orchestral Instruments, compiled with the purpose of facilitating the study of orchestral parts for a better adaptation in a symphony orchestra. The chrestomathy includes fragments from several symphonic works by important composers of XX century composers representing different national schools – German, Russian and British some of which were first performed in Chisinau by the AMTFA symphony orchestra.
