    Noutatea și originalitatea științifică a tezei constă în aplicarea gândirii sistemice în cercetarea genului de sonată violonistică românească din prima jumătate a secolului XX; în examinarea sonatelor din perspectiva valorificării elementelor ideatico-semantice și morfologico-sintactice caracteristice romantismului; în introducerea în circuitul științific a unor creații mai puțin studiate, inclusiv Sonata pentru vioară și pian de Șt. Neaga. The novelty and scientific originality of the thesis consists in the application of systemic thinking in the research of the Romanian violin sonata genre from the first half of the XXth century; in the examination of sonatas from the perspective of capitalizing on the ideationalsemantic and morphological-syntactic elements characteristic for romanticism; in the introduction in the scientific circuit of less studied pieces, including the Sonata for violin and piano by Șt. Neaga.
