    Arhiva de folclor de la Academia de Muzică, Teatru și Arte Plastice deține un material bogat de folclor muzical, descrieri de obiceiuri și tradiții populare – peste 16000 de elemente de patrimoniu. O parte impresionantă din acest material îl constituie producțiile ciclului calendaristic, în special creațiile folclorice din cadrul perioadei de iarnă. Cele mai vechi exemple au fost înregistrate de la persoane născute la sfârșitul secolului al XIX-lea. Ele constituie documente sonore valoroase de patrimoniu imaterial. Conținutul literar, structura melodică și alte componente ale acestor manifestări folclorice reprezintă un teren vast de cercetare științifică și valorificare practică. The Folklore Archive of the Academy of Music, Theater and Fine Arts holds a rich collection of musical folklore, as well as descriptions of customs and folk traditions – over 16,000 heritage items. An impressive part of this material consists of productions belonging to the calendar cycle, especially folkloric creations from the winter period. The oldest examples were recorded from people born at the end of the 19th century. These constitute valuable sound documents of the intangible cultural heritage. The literary content, melodic structure and other components of these folkloric manifestations represent a vast field for scientific research and practical utilization.
