Abstract
The work presents a methodical material as a support for teaching the disciplines of the choreographic cycle Composition and dance assembly and The art of ballet master, Theory of choreography. The purpose of the work is to establish the theoretical and practical framework of the process of composing and assembling the dance for both teachers and students. The methodical guide is divided into four sections in which the process of composing and performing the dance is described based on some theories. In the first compartment, the choreographic art is generally characterized. The second chapter is devoted to dance genres and their specificities. In chapter three the authors define the main aspects of the process of designing the choreographic work. Chapter four presents the compositional principles and procedures of dance composition, as well as methodical recommendations on practical approaches to teaching and learning the above-mentioned disciplines. The authors are proposing a set of tasks for each stage of creating the choreographic work and draw attention to possible errors that can be avoided. The authors offer possible solutions for different situations that may arise in the teaching-learning process. The present work is of interest for teachers, students and choreographers involved in the process of creating dances. Therefore, the guide represents a valuable didactic support, both theoretically and practically.
